 | Thanks to Jürgen Keller, I finally got to try the casio pro fx-1 magnetic card storage feature and it works!
Unlike the card readers of hp, casio's offering was not motorised. instead the card has a parallel optical timing strip and the card is swiped through the reader by hand.

part of the forthcoming 3D library for hplua, here's my 3D rendering test program. Try it for yourself here.
There are 3 test models; torus, dumbell and teapot. teapot is by far the biggest. make sure you have plenty of free memory to try teapot. otherwise it will crash and you need to hard reset. try torus first.keys:arrows = navigate, "+" move in, "-" move out, "0" take out delay loops, "1" add in delay loops, "ON" quit.
NB: by default there are 5 delay loops.
